Country singer Miranda Lambert has found herself at the center of controversy after reprimanding two fans during her live performance for taking a selfie. A TikTok video of the incident, which took place during her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's Bakkt Theater, went viral on Sunday (16 July).

In the video, Lambert, 39, can be seen on stage, preparing to sing her song “Tin Man.” However, after finishing the first verse, she abruptly interrupts herself and addresses the front row of the audience, expressing her frustration. Lambert points out that the girls in question were more concerned with taking a selfie than listening to the song, which visibly agitated her.

Apologizing to her pianist, Lambert declares, “Sorry, I don't like it at all. We're here to hear some country music tonight. I'm singing some country damn music. Shall we start again?”

As the crowd cheers, Lambert restarts the song, but the video captures a woman leaving her seat, expressing her disagreement by saying, “Come on, let's go. You don't do that to fans.”

The viral video prompted mixed reactions from fans. Some supported the concertgoer's decision to leave, expressing their frustration with Lambert's actions. They argued that if fans are not allowed to take pictures, then phones should be prohibited altogether. Others expressed their disappointment, mentioning that they love Lambert but found her reaction unwarranted and off-putting.

However, there were also supporters who commended Lambert for her stance, suggesting that if they were giving their all during a performance, they would want the audience's full attention as well. Some praised the beauty and significance of the song she was singing.

At present, Lambert's representative has not provided any comments on the incident.

This incident involving Lambert is the latest in a series of clashes between live performers and concertgoers. Just recently, Bebe Rhexa was struck in the face by a phone thrown from the crowd during her New York performance, resulting in injuries. In another incident, singer Max was slapped by a stage invader during a concert in Los Angeles. Pink was left stunned when a fan threw a plastic bag containing their mother's ashes onto the stage in London, along with receiving a large wheel of French Brie from another fan. Country pop singer Kelsea Ballerini also experienced an unfortunate incident when she was hit in the eye by a bracelet during a concert in Idaho.
